Anonymous ASKED:
At this point its blatantly obvious that the events in Uncanny Avengers are going to be undone by time travel, since something tells me everyone on Earth dying isn't something that will stand. Why then did you pretend that Rogue, the Scarlet Witch and Wonder Man were dead for 2 months? I already had a hunch they weren't gonna stay dead (the movie, the UA annual, timeline issues), but you took Rogue off X-Men just to pretend she was dead for a short period.

So you’re asking me why I didn’t confirm your assumptions about something based on your assumptions about something else?

You’re building on sand, my friend. Wait and see!

It’s funny how the Anon phrases this thought. Like, Brevoort is “pretending” they’re all dead. They ARE dead in Uncanny Avengers, at least, and as clear as it might be that the events of Ragnarok Now will be reversed in some manner, we don’t know which of them are actually coming back to life at the end of this storyline (UA #22), and which are staying dead for a while longer to return in some other book or event.

I would believe that all 4 of them are coming back. I feel like the lessons and path Remender is having these characters go through. Especially Scarlet Witch and Rogue have not run their course. The lessons he wants them to learn have not been fully realized and the story doesn’t serve itself in anyway if they remain dead.

Except for Wonder Man; I can’t see how his coming back to life too soon would help the story in any way. It might actually set Wanda’s development back a little. But, other than that, I agree with you: Wanda, Rogue and Cap all serve better storytelling purposes coming back to life after this whole ordeal than staying dead. Which most certainly means that coming back it is.
